Adjstments to Blog Post Times…

I realized this morning I never adjusted the blog configuration to local time zones as we traveled and everything was in EDT times.  So, I made that change for posts going forward and edited all previous posts for their proper local time…

Another Day, More Rain??

2011-05-09_06-29-41_557Welcome to our second full day on O’ahu. I might be getting adjusted to the time change, 6 hours from home. Actually slept the entire night and was awakened by the alarm clock @ 6:30am. (Must have turned it on accidentally.)
Still very cloudy this morning, spotty showers and heavy rain once again possible across the islands later today….

You never know who you will run into!!

Talk about odds…  We went to Duke’s Canoe Club in Waikiki for dinner Sunday evening, and after deciding the bar area was too crowded, opted for the dinner menu in the maim restaurant. As we were waiting to be seated, I saw Marianne’s jaw drop. Asked her if she saw someone she knew. She said she thought so, but was not positive. Long story short, we endeduo being seated 2 tables away from him, and a few minutes later I talked her into asking him. Before she got a word out, he recognized her as well. Marianne and Dave Arnal have not seen one another in 25+ years, and this was just an unbelievable set of coincidences falling together.  He was here on business with a coworker, and we all sat down and had dinner together.
To really add to the “weirdness” of this, at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet earlier that day, we saw a personalized license plate: “ARNAL”  and were talking about Dave and his mother!!
