In just four short days from now, Marianne and I will be headed to bed at the Holiday Inn Express by Hancock International Airport in Syracuse. We have an early wake up for our 6:37am departure on Sunday morning.
We still have packing to do, plus some last-minute appointments and things to deal with, but we should be ready to head to Syracuse by mid-afternoon on Saturday!!

I have been talking to a friend of ours in the San Francisco Bay Area about our plans while visiting the area on our way out to and back from Hawaii.
It looks like we may have a volunteer impromptu city guide to show us the highlights of San Francisco on this trip. After three trips to Hawaii with 6 stops in San Francisco, it looks like this trip we may actually make it INTO San Francisco and see the downtown sights on our way out to Hawaii. We still have to work out the details over the weekend, but I am sure it will be a good tour of the city sights…
On the return trip, it just happens that there is an afternoon game with the San Francisco Giants hosting the Washington Nationals at AT&T Park in San Francisco. What better way to spend an early summer afternoon than at the ball park? So, our friend is getting tickets so we can enjoy a day at the ball park with him on our full lay-over day on our return from Hawaii before heading back home the following day. A nice ending to our vacation!

We stopped in at AAA in Syracuse today to pick up our travel documents. Everything is now complete, and we are almost ready to travel.
We picked up some nice rigid luggage last year at Marshall’s in Rome, but they did not have a small carry-on for me. Marianne got a nice matched set, large checked bag and small carry-on bag. Finally, in Marshall’s in Syracuse this evening, we found a nice rigid carry-on for me. A nice set of luggage for both of us now, even if mine is not a matching set like Marianne’s 🙂
