We walked out to the beach at the hotel this evening and the tide was out… Nice tidal pool we both waded in, but only one small piece of coral and no shells to be found.

Except for dinner and the hotel, that is.. Hilo Hattie is “The Store of Hawai’i”, and no trip is complete without at least one stop.. This is the location in Lihue, Kaua’i, but we will probably stop on O’ahu as well.

That’s our Mercury Mountaineer as well… Not to bad of a car, but I liked the Ford Escape we had in San Francisco better…

Tomorrow, we head over to O’ahu, so probably some pictures from the flight, but not a lot else as we get settled in for a week’s stay at Turtle Bay.

Taste for shrimp satisfied… The Shrimp Station in Waimea… Terrific coconut shrimp… Different than east coast shrimp, but still great….
