The Waialua Brush Fire is still blazing…. Monday morning, they thought the early morning rains beat down the fire and they would get it under control, but that did not happen. According to the radio news, it has burned over 3,000 acres now, and is nowhere near under control. The first picture was taked about 5:30pm on Monday on our way to Waikiki for dinner.

The second picture was taken about 9pm from about the same vantage point, maybe 1/4 mile further away, and really shows the burning. I should take something with our Sony DVD, which has infared capabilities for night use…. Maybe Tuesday night, unless we get heavy rain from Flossie that might put the fire out….
