Travel Review: May 6, 2013, Part II: Sausalito & San Francisco

After exploring the Marin Headlands, we drove down to Sausalito on the North Bay to walk around, see the sights and grab a snack before returning to the hotel.

Once back at the hotel, we got changed for dinner with our friend Steve and drove to Downtown San Francisco and got a guided tour of the sights from The Embarcadero, to Chinatown, to Nob Hill, to Union Square, where we ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the 8th Floor Balcony of Macy’s.

  1. Y’know had I been really smart I would have recommended a Ferry ride from the Ferry Building to Sausalito. Free SF Harbor tour and if the weather was nice, Sausalito can be really great!

  2. Well, that is something for our next visit. Marianne and I really want to come out to just the SF Bay area for a week or so and really explore the area, I have seen some of the inland areas, but Marianne needs to see more than what we can see during day-trip travels on a 2-night layover… Not sure when, but now that we are “retired” we can travel more often 🙂

  3. We did a lot of window shopping on Sausalito years ago. The prices were high then. I can only imagine what they are today.
