Some more pictures of the Kona Lava Fields between the Hilton Waikoloa Village and Kailua-Kona. Most of the 25 mile drive is through these desolate areas of lava. These were taken as we headed down to the Kona Coffee plantations to the south of Kailua-Kona.

This picture is at the north end of the Kona Airport. Look closely at the center of the picture, and you can see an Aloha Airlines 737 landing on the runway.
