Getting up and underway a bit later today, I think jet lag began to catch us a little yesterday… Went to bed about 10pm. And just getting up and around now…

Yesterday’s drive to the north shore was great. Certainly a lot different than I pictured it from Google Earth. We didn’t get up that way last time on the island.

Today, we are planning on the Smith’s Fern Grotto Tour on the Wailua River and then going to the luau show (no dinner) at the Kilohana Plantation tonight. We might take the tubing ride in the sugar cane irrigation ditches ($100 each, 1 or 2 hours) this afternoon, depending on what we find out from the concierge.this morning about my ability to get in/out of the tube (depth of water issue, deeper is better actually).

Will try to send pictures as we go along… Updated every hour, minimum (top of the hour)….
