After we return home I will begin editing and posting pictures back dated into the blog for our travels on the big island and back in California. We have a lot of pictures, so it will take some time to select, edit and post…

Waiting for our flight home…
Our whirlwind tour of silicon valley yesterday went by fast. We had a nice visit with the folks at Danger, and then did another “flyby” of Google’s home base to get a better view of the facility. It is impressive.
Now we are at the airport waiting for our flight to board, probably in the next half hour or so…
We should be back in Syracuse about 6pm.
One Day in the Bay Area….
After breakfast and a little relaxing, we headed out to meet Steve at Danger for Lunch. We took a nice leisurely drive down to Danger, avoiding the freeways. Of course, we were a little late for lunch, but who cares, we are on vacation!

Some of the awards that Danger has won.

Looking goofy in the reception area of Danger.

After we left Danger, we had to drive around Google one more time. This time we made the complete circumference around the facility. This view is from the south.

This is the main lobby entrance, I think. Somewhere I saw a sign that I think said the main lobby was in building 42.

The sign for the buildings across the street from the main buildings.
After driving around Google, we headed back north on regular streets, and
thought about where we wanted to go to dinner, and decided on Olive Garden.
According to the GPS the closest to the hotel was up on the southwest side of
San Francisco. The "fastest" non freeway route took us onto "Skyline Blvd" to
the west of San Bruno and Daly City. There were some fantastic views.

The one above is looking out towards the pacific.

This is looking eastward in the general direction of our hotel, over there by the brown hillside.

This view is a little to the north of the one above.

Going down, and I mean down, Sloats Blvd towards Olive Garden.
Safely on the ground in San Francisco
We are now in San Francisco (San Bernadino, exactly), sitting down to dinner at Red Lobster. We will check into the hotel after dinner…
At the Kona Airport
We are now at the Kona Airport waiting for our flight back to San
Francisco, which departs in about an hour and a half. Of course, the
airport we get to the earliest is the hottest, and also an open air
facility with no air conditioning!!
