Golden Gate National Cemetery…

In our previous visits to the San Francisco Bay area, we never managed to remember to visit here during daytime hours.  This time we made a special effort to go first this morning.

Although not as large as Arlington outside Washington DC, nor as scenic as the National Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, it is still awe inspiring and gives one great appreciation and respect for all those who served our country, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could all enjoy our freedom.

Settled into San Francisco…

Checked in for two nights in San Francisco. Unfortunately, our ball game companion for tomorrow got tied up with other things. But, I think we just need a day off from activities tomorrow anyway…  Still getting together for dinner…

Views around Sheraton Kona Resort @ Keauhou Bay

Today was a “relax and get ready to head home” day. We packed up a couple large flat rate priority mail boxes with our purchases and mailed them home this morning, then explored a little around the local Kailua-Kona area before getting back to the hotel about 12:30pm.
Heard the news of the tornado in Oklahoma, and spent some time listening tho the news stories, then went on a resort walkabout. Stopped in the lounge area to play a game of pool, air hockey and ping pong ball and to cool off a bit before exploring more of the resort.
Here are a bunch of pictures from our walk about:
