Travel Review: May 9, 2013, Part III: “Thar Be Whales Here!”

As Scotty said, after beaming the pair of Humpback Whales into the cargo hold of the Klingon Bird of Prey in “Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home”.

I know, three parts, and extensive photos in Part II for one day, but it was our most active day of the whole time in Hawaii, so we had a lot to show 🙂

Near the end of our dinner on the cruise, the captain spotted a pair of Humpback Whales, possibly with a calf, playing shortly ahead of us.  Unfortunately, the Kodak digital camera had a hard time focusing when taking pictures, as there was no horizon to focus on.  By the time I got the Nikon DSLR, the whales were making their last blow and headed back to the depths for 15-45 minutes….  But, we still got some good shots, even if a bit fuzzy:

Travel Review: May 9, 2013, Part II: Dinner Cruise to the NaPali Coast

Ok, this will probably be the biggest set of pictures for a single day of this review series.  The dinner cruise around the southwest end of Kauai and up the NaPali coast was the most picturesque of our adventures.  So, with no more adieu, here are the pictures:

Travel Review: May 9, 2013, Part I: Sunrise & Sunset

Ok, so with the extensive number of pictures in the upcoming post from our Dinner Cruise up the NaPali Coast, I was going to exclude the sunrise and sunset photos from this day, but they were just too nice to forget about 🙂
