We have checked into the hotel in Syracuse.  Wally and his daughter brought us over in his Lincoln Town Car in luxury!  We took them out to dinner at Cracker Barrel before being dropped off at the airport about 6:30pm.

I don’t know if anyone is visiting this blog yet, but so far nothing is showing on the stats, so I have to assume not. I fixed the display so it now accepts comments to my postings, so feel free to comment on anything you find interesting. Comments are moderated to avoid distaseful comments and spam, so they will not appear immediately after posting.

We will be departing for the Syracuse airport this coming Wednesday afternoon, so look for posts to the blog to start appearing soon thereafter… I have just installed Post 2 Blog software to send my pictures and text to the blog as quickly as possible if we do not have any high speed internet access. I can’t see paying extra for it for just posting to the blog

Well, I am setting up this blog in preparation of keeping friends and family up to date with our travel activities and events during our trip to paradise! 

 We are just 11 days out from our departure from home to stay at the hotel by the Syracuse airport the night before our flight out, which is a 6:30am departure.  It is much easier to stay over there that night than to get up 1-1/2 hour earlier to drive to the airport that morning.  I am not one to start my day at 2am if it is not absolutely necessary 🙂
