Waiting to come home…

Well, after a 2 hour episode on Thursday to get through checking and TSA, we arrived at San Francisco airport 2 hours in advance to be sure we had enough time. Figured San Francisco on a Saturday morning would be a busy place… Made it from the rental car drop off to the gate for boarding in a record 35 minutes…. Now we have a 1½ hour wait for the plane, which is not even here yet!!

Looking at iffy weather in Newark this evening, so we are hoping for no delays… Arrival in Newark is scheduled for shortly after 8pm, and arrival in Syracuse about 10:30pm…

Safely in San Francisco

After 30 minutes of circling to land, we are now safely on the ground in San Francisco.. Now a 20 minute wait for everyone forward of us to get off the plane!!

Pre Board is nice!

Neuromuscular problems do occasionally have advantages… We get to board before everyone else, since my legs are quite tired and sore from yesterday’s walking and driving… I need a couple days to relax, then I’ll be raring to go…

Our Plane to Kaua’i

Walked down to the coffee shop and bar the other side of our gate to get some water to take my pills, and was able to get this picture of the 757 we will be in flying to Kaua’i.

And, now we wait again…

Arrived extra early to SFO because of my inability to print a boarding pass online… Called United last night, and of course got some foreign call center with someone I could not understand trying to tell me I was flagged for a random security check… Could not understand him to question further, so we just decided to arrive an extra 30 minutes early…

Got to the self-check in area, and still could not print a boarding pass. A United representative had to take my photo ID back to a computer terminal to clear me… She said it was an FCC ordered identity check because of a “common name”. It has taken 10 flights over the past 21 months to get flagged as a “common name”.

Maybe there is an outstanding “Lance Williams” on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list, what do you think?!?

Anyway, now we get to wait for about an hour before boarding… (already sitting 20 minutes…) But, I was afraid of being flagged for a random TSA search, which could have taken more time…
