Here’s a Radar Image of the Storms

This is what is causing our delays…. It extends from north of Albany, west almost to Syracuse and Binghamton and south to nearly Philadelphia….

Two trips to Hawai’i, two return flights through Newark to Syracuse, two delays due to thunderstorms, even with different times of the year!! Next time we return via Cleveland or somewhere else…. Sent from my T-Mobile SideKick LX-2009

And so we wait……

A moment ago, our pilot taxied off the runway approach, parked and shut down the plane due to the closure of all outbound westbound flights due to a line of severe thunderstorms moving between here and Syracuse and points north and south… The pilot says we will sit out here for at least 45 minutes waiting to see if things clear up, and decide at that time what path will be taken for getting to Syracuse….

Our Plane Home to Syracuse

We should be heading out in about 15 minutes on our final flight to get back home. Mostly uneventful, although an interesting route east, north to Minneapolis plus, then across Michigan to Near Kingston, Ontario before heading southeast (over Syracuse) to get to Newark. Now we have to fly back up to Syracuse!!
