Leaving California
Heading up to cruising altitude on our way home… Wanted to get a picture of San Francisco (beautiful clear day), but too soon to turn electronics back on…
We took off along side a Southwest Air 737 on the left runway. Never seen that before, the other plane was just 2 or 3 seconds ahead of us… We both took off, paralleled each other about 30 seconds then veered off in opposite directions…

Waiting to come home…
Well, after a 2 hour episode on Thursday to get through checking and TSA, we arrived at San Francisco airport 2 hours in advance to be sure we had enough time. Figured San Francisco on a Saturday morning would be a busy place… Made it from the rental car drop off to the gate for boarding in a record 35 minutes…. Now we have a 1½ hour wait for the plane, which is not even here yet!!
Looking at iffy weather in Newark this evening, so we are hoping for no delays… Arrival in Newark is scheduled for shortly after 8pm, and arrival in Syracuse about 10:30pm…
