Looks like a preying Mantis Orchid is coming after our breakfast this morning…. Or maybe it is just looking for a fight with the spiney fruit Marianne likes.. Don’t know what it is called, but you don’t eat the spiney husk or the hard pit. The fruit part is white and Marianne says it tastes like a grape…

Well, it looks like a summer cold (not the flu) grabbed ahold of me the past 36 hours…  Yesterday, we stayed at the resort, walked around a little bit later in the afternoon, after sleeping most of the late morning and early afternoon.

Otherwise, we just relaxed and went to dinner. We rescheduled our Polynesian Cultural Center Luau to tonight, and I hope I feel good enough to go tonight. Right now, I feel better than yesterday, but will have to see how the day goes…

A nice sunny morning greets our 13th anniversary. However, I spent all night coughing my head off. Coming down with a chest cold, I think. Certainly not suffering any loss of appetite or gastrointestinal distress, so I don’t think it is the H1N1 (Swine) flu. But, just the same, it is not making me feel too good today. First stop after breakfast, the drug store for some cough syrup/drops…

This was just over an hour ago… Right after we headed down for the Mother’s Day Buffet Dinner. Coconut Shrimp, Prime Rib, Lamb Chops, Pasta to Order and other great stuff… We are stuffed, but still have to check out the desserts..

Tomorrow is another busyish day, if we do all we are thinking about. It was good to relax a little today…

Took leisurely walk up the Waimea Valley Park to the waterfall. The whole valley is a botanical park, and it is about a 2 mile walk round trip… Still have the return walk to make…
