Apologies to my faithful blog followers, I have been having problems with the posting of pictures from my phone me and tablet through the WordPress App. Therefore, posting has been more on Facebook… Now that we are on The Big Island, maybe things will be better š
Well, for my faithful followers, it is once again time to start working on plans for Hawai’i Travels. We have booked our vacation package and associated airfare and accommodations in the San Francisco area for our trip this spring. We are departing on Tuesday, April 28th for two nights in San Francisco before heading to O’ahu on April 30th.
We will be staying at the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of O’ahu for 6 nights, then headed over to the Sheraton Kona Resort at Keauhou Bay, just south of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i for 7 nights.
We thenĀ return to San Francisco for two nights on May 13th, with our final flight back home on Friday, May 15th.
We had to get an earlier start this morning than usual on our return to San Francisco from Hawaii. Ā United Airlines had temporarily discontinued mid-day departures from Kona International Airport direct to San Francisco, so we had to fly from Kona over to Kahului, Maui a couple of hours earlier to catch the United flight from Maui direct to San Francisco. This meant no departureĀ morning breakfast from Island Lava Java. Ā Instead we grabbed a quick bite from McDonald’s š [sc:clickview]
With the setting sun comes the end of our last full day on Hawaii for this trip. Ā Dinner in Kailua-Kona and packing for our departure in the morning is all that was left for us to do after enjoying the sunset from our balcony.[sc:clickview ]
The Polynesian Sailing Canoe was out early this morning, sailing out and then back into Keauhou Bay, as seen from our balcony. Ā Then we headed to Island Lava Java for our last breakfast for this trip at our favorite Kailua-Kona restaurant. Also a quick visit to the small “St. Peter’s By The Sea Roman Catholic Church” near Kahalu’u Beach Park on Ali’i Drive.
