Home At Last!!!

We are finally home!! Our flight from Newark was delayed about 2 hours, but we finally got into Syracuse about 7:30, picked up our luggage and Wally was waiting to pick us up about a half mile from the airport. We were on our way to dinner at Cracker Barrel in Cicero before 7:45.

After a relaxing dinner and ride home, we got into the house about 10:45. I can’t remember if I posted it to the blog or not, but while we were away, Karen found our upstairs toilet leaking water all over the place, and ended up turning off the water at the house main valve. Upon returning home, I discovered that the toilet tank has a pressure crack down the entire back left corner, exactly what Karen thought had happened…. So, I have managed to get the water supply shut off to the toilet and restored water to the rest of the house… Now it’s time to head to bed.

As time permits over the next few days or week, I will post more pictures to the blog into their respective date/time slots. I will put a note in the current time/most recent entries to let everyone know where the pictures have been posted date-wise.

Delayed in Newark

Well, our final flight of the trip is the only flight that has been
delayed… We should be well on our way to Syracuse now, but we are not
even scheduled to depart until 6:10pm now (1h 20m delay).

We also heard from Karen that there were a couple severe thunderstorms
around our house this afternoon, so it looks like we may be coming home
to a dark house. Karen says Turin Road and Route 46 are both closed due
to powerlines and trees in the road….

Pictures to be posted after we return home

After we return home I will begin editing and posting pictures back dated into the blog for our travels on the big island and back in California. We have a lot of pictures, so it will take some time to select, edit and post…

Waiting for our flight home…

Our whirlwind tour of silicon valley yesterday went by fast. We had a nice visit with the folks at Danger, and then did another “flyby” of Google’s home base to get a better view of the facility. It is impressive.

Now we are at the airport waiting for our flight to board, probably in the next half hour or so…

We should be back in Syracuse about 6pm.

In Flight to Hawai’i…..

Well, this should get posted when we land in Honolulu in a little over
an hour…. It has been a nice quiet flight so far. But can you
believe, the inflight movie today on United is the same movie we saw on
Thursday’s Continental flight from Cleveland to San Francisco!! And, it
is not even a great movie: Anthony Hopkins in “Fracture”.

A Boeing 777 sure is a nice big comfy plane compared to the 737 we flew
from Cleveland to San Francisco, and of course the 50 passenger Embraier
145 from Syracuse was tiny in comparison.

More from Hawai’i after we land…..
